I know we all make mistakes in our lives and those mistakes can have devastating consequences. It can crush family and friends by the feeling of betrayal, hurt, and sadness. This blog is not about mistakes it is about character and doing the right thing.
John will not be president and or vice president this election year due to his mistakes. That in itself is a large price to pay for his mistake, but the deep wound he cut into his wife and kids hearts is the largest tab he will pay. Remember we reap what we sow:
Galatians 6:7-8 (MSG)
Don't be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he'll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God's Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.
I hope he makes amends with his wife and kids and I hope his wife has a full recovery from her cancer, I wish the best for them and their family.
During this election year, vote for what matters the most to you, and I hope that is a candidate that has VIRTUE.
Live a Virtuous life for yourself, for your family, for your friends, and most importantly for God.
